Autism Foundation Finland

Autism Foundation Finland was established in 1998 by families whose vision was to help deliver independent and meaningful living for people in the autism spectrum. Today, their legacy lives on. Autism Foundation Finland currently operates in 22 locations throughout Finland and our 350 professionals are happy to provide high-quality services for a wide range of people.

We offer a comprehensive selection of services for daily activities, vocational activities and supported living. Each individual is met with a personal touch and our professional expertise is focused on finding the optimal service required in each situation. Our goal is to create a reassuring environment and to deliver successful outcomes, together with our clients, by enhancing their abilities and strengths through positive coaching and counselling.

Arts and culture activities are strongly part of the Autism Foundation's activities. Our clients can participate in art and cultural activities in all our units in supported living services and daytime activities. In addition, about twenty clients work as artists at the Vallila Art Studio in Helsinki every day, and receive support for working in the artist's profession from Autism Foundation's professionals. See more about the Vallila Art Studio activities in https://www.instagram.com/sininensirkus/

Our clients can try different types of art, deepen their skills in making art, gain new experiences by participating in art and culture. In addition, they can bring out their art at various events with our support. We encourage our clients to experience feelings of success and to highlight their strengths through art. The Autism Foundation has implemented numerous exhibitions and art projects. Works of art have been awarded in competitions and they have been included in art collections. The Autism Foundation is an active player in both Finnish and international art networks.
