Kunstwerkstatt Mosaik Berlin

Since 1996, Kunstwerkstatt Mosaik Berlin has provided a professional studio environment for adult artists, primarily those with intellectual disabilities.

The aim is to provide each artist with workspaces, techniques and materials so that they can discover and develop their own form of expression. The artists are supported sensitively by professional assistants. The team consists of artists, remedial therapists, cultural educators and social workers.

We do not just focus on teaching participants academic fine art, but rather strive to remain open to individual (self-)expression and to encourage it. The artists choose from a variety of media, such as printmaking, painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, photography and others. The artists interact and collaborate with external professional artists as part of an inclusive team.

The Mosaik Berlin art workshop is open five days a week and represents and promotes the artists and their works. They are featured in exhibition spaces and collections across Germany and Europe.
