Cavallo Blu APS is an Italian non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting Outsider Art and inclusive contemporary artistic practices. The association operates at the
intersection of art, mental health and social inclusion, creating structured and professional artistic environments for artists with psychosocial disabilities and other forms of marginalisation.
A central project of the organisation is SCENIUS – The Creativity that Connects, a digital and cultural platform designed to map, connect and promote inclusive art studios and Outsider Art practices at a national and European level. SCENIUS combines digital archiving, curatorial work, exhibitions and communication strategies to strengthen the visibility and recognition of artists often excluded from mainstream art circuits.
Through its permanent studio BLULAB in Vigevano and the development of SCENIUS, Cavallo Blu supports artistic production, documentation, professional positioning and networking. The organisation works to reposition Outsider Art within the broader contemporary art discourse, not as a marginal or therapeutic expression, but as a legitimate and autonomous artistic field.
Key activities include:
– Exhibitions and public cultural events
– Digital archiving and cataloguing of artworks
– Permanent inclusive art studios
– Online platform development and content production
– Training programmes in digital and cultural skills
